What is the STORM act
This law creates a new “resilience revolving loan fund” program modeled after similar water programs (the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds) and will spur investment ahead of future disasters. Led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), this new revolving loan fund will be eligible for projects intended to protect against wildfires, earthquakes, flooding, storm surges, chemical spills, seepage resulting from chemical spills and floods, and any other event deemed catastrophic by FEMA.

AG ROLE IN CLIMATE MITIGATION: NET-ZERO EMISSIONS
The president directed the USDA to recommend a climate strategy for agriculture and forestry within 150 days. The effort would begin with 60 days of consultation with landowners, farmers, conservation groups, and other interested parties on how to encourage voluntary adoption of climate-smart practices that result in verifiable carbon sequestration and reductions in carbon emissions and that produce biofuels and bioproducts.

It’s no secret why illegal immigrants see the US like one of the best and sometimes only opportunity to change their lives, in the pursuit for the so called american dream, thousands of immigrants cross the border illegally and many perish in the process, and for those who do make are always living in fear of deportation.
Contrary to the belief that illegal immigrants are taking jobs from those of legal status, it’s a misguided perception since most of the employers that choose to hire them are unscrupulous business owners, these unethical decisions are mostly done to pay lowers salaries and take advantage of the precarious circumstances of the indocumented immigrants.
These abuses can go from lower than average salaries, to unsafe work conditions, and that's just the tip of the iceberg ,these symptoms are part of a bigger problem. As a Guatemalan entity with business partners in the USA and Canada we understand both the immigrant trying to pursue a better life and the countries trying to deal with the ever rising illegal immigrants coming into their country. The solution we offer is the administration of human talent through the H2A & H2B visa programs.
But why enforce legal non-immigrant workers? (LNIW)
It’s safer for everybody:
From the minute a person decides to leave their country to the last second before crossing the border their life is at risk, besides avoiding ICE or any other law enforcing authorities that can result in being sent back and losing the investment made to the “coyote” (human trafficker), forcing or manipulating them into illegal activities in order to survive, let’s not forget that the dream of the oppressed is to be free and be allowed the pursuit of happiness, but it can quickly become a nightmare for the immigrants and their families once they’ve been apprehended.
Make life easier for both the LNIW and the employer:
This creates a stress free relationship between the employer and the immigrant than now has a work visa that can be H2A or H2B, the employer can request the amount of people needed, their gender, age, nationality, among other variables and most importantly the specific set of skills required for the job.
